Network dropouts since changing Mesh system password

I have a Hub 4 in modem mode, working with a Tenda Mesh system, everything has been working just fine until recently when I changed the network password in the Mesh System. Regular dropouts since, maybe a dozen times a day. I have tried re-starting everything, but nothing seems to help.

I am reluctant to do a factory re-set on the Hub because I'd need to put it back into Modem mode. I am presuming it will revert to standard (White light, rather than green light) mode after I re-set.

I don't have any confidence this will be straightforward and access to the Hub setting via the web address or VM Connect doesn't seem to be working. Is there an alternative?

Any help very gratefully received. I have tried the Chat bot, but it is no help with this

Thanks Daniel, with apologies for the delayed reply.

A factory re-start of the gateway unit of my Mesh system has been mostly effective. It's Fireware was already up to date. With thanks to @legacy1 for that suggestion. I have had very brief drop-outs since, but much better than before. Not as good before I changed he password however.

Accessing my hub settings via 192.168.100.1 has always been problematic. I managed to log in once and make some changes (finally I was able to dim the light on the hub!) but most of the time I am not able to connect via that address. It times out pretty much every time.

Glad to hear that, so confirm there has been a massive improvement overall?

Has it been okay since Wednesday?

VM Connect only works in router mode not at all in modem mode. All facilities you are likely to need are available by going to the hub on 192.168.100.1

The problem would be the Tenda Mesh system not the hub unless there happened to be a problem in your area at the same time you changed the password.

So you should reset your Tenda Mesh and see if it has a firmware update
