Modem mode, on the 5x router

All we want VM is are WAN IP to our stuff we are not asking much

VM never ever publish dates for any facilities. Hopefully one day someone will post on the board that the latest update to their Hub5x has made modem mode work. You will probably not even get any acknowledgment that it now exists from VM. 

See what we could do is a bad way like:

Its a NAT from hell and has problems like when the IP changed you have to change your LAN to match to then given you back your WAN IP that the hub is on one workaround to this is DDNS but its not going to know the subnet which brings to the next problem because how do to ARP a WAN IP for someone on your same WAN IP subnet? Again one way is to have the router sent you the MAC of its gateway for any IP in the WAN IP subnet and forward over NAT which the router does not fully know!

Then what about protocol 50 or 47 ? will the hub forward them? Let alone ICMP to our stuff to firewall!!

Or how about the ultimate way! Do virtual NAT two times on the hub!!!🤓

I was told it would be "soon" 11 months ago and others much longer than that
