Letter about essential maintenance

I recently received a letter warning me about essential maintenance in my area which might cause interruption between 0900 and 1700 of TV, broadband and phone. But why a letter as two previous warnings of works (in 2022) had been made by email. Doesn't VM want to keep its costs down?

  • That's really odd. You didn't select large print in contact preferences did you?

Nope, I'm an email man as paperwork just piles up horribly on my desk.

        Hello Roger_Gooner,

Welcome back to the Community, and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I'm sorry to hear that we've contacted you by letter when that isn't your preferred method of contact. I'll get this looked into further for you and try to find out why this has happened.

        Kind Regards,

        Steven_L

Possibly playing it safe due to custmers having issues accessing emails since the linked VMO2 ID was introduced.

I digress a little but it beggars belief that people rely upon ISP emails addresses (especially some using them for business purposes) and don't keep back up's of important emails, or forward emails to other addresses.

How many people have actually changed contact email addresses without updating their accounts, or informing VM (and other companies, banks etc) of the change.
