I dont understand how the speed could vary so much between my devices, I tested 3 devices; mobile pone, old pc, new pc..
Speed on my old pc 270mbps wired, 30mbps wireless at point blank range
android mobile 1mbps
New pc 260mbps wireless furthest phtsically from router.
I dont understand these results at all, but id appreciate any help with why mt phone only gets 1mbps.. you tube videos are pixelly, even static images have trouble loading.
Phone; 0.70mbps/2mbps is very slow & looks like a phone that has an issue or needs a restart.
Don't use VM hub for Wifi get your own Wifi router with 1Gb ports with hub in modem mode
I've split my WiFi into the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands and connect to 5GHz if possible.
I used samknows and here are the results;
Router; 274mbps/20mbps
Phone; 0.70mbps/2mbps
Tested phone on mobile data and get 10mbps which i'll accept but 0.7 on home network is pretty much unusable...
30 Mbps on the old PC via Wi-Fi tells us the PC has a 2.4GHz only Wi-Fi adaptor,
a dual band Wi-Fi adaptor is needed to significantly improve the speed
The new PC has a dual band Wi-Fi adaptor and is using the faster 5 GHz band.
The 1 mbps speed test is oddly low and we don't know how that was tested.
Try the Samknows Realspeed app an retest the Android mobile.
