Hub 4 stuck

Hi All,

My Hub 4 isn't connecting to the internet 

It flashes white, then blue, then goes off and then starts again.

Virgin can send an engineer on Friday but I work from home 90% of the time so this is an issue.

I've read a hard restart may fix but I'm cautious as wouldn't virgin tell me to do that if it's the correct course of action, or is it just they prefer send an engineer?

Looking for advice on whether I should try a hard reset and if so how do I do it?

    The VM engineer is booked, I'd now focus on getting the day job moving again.

    Connect your business mobile to your office laptop with a USB cable or perhaps via a Hotspot and you have a functioning Plan B to cover  few days of down time.

      Thanks, that makes sense, if I could have sped up the fix it was worth considering but I have other options to get online for work which are not ideal but possible.

      It shows me how reliant on internet we have become, even ten years ago it wouldn't have made this impact, no TVs work apart from 1, smart plugs, cannot alter my heating etc. madness!!

      Currently in a well known coffee shop using their internet 👍
