It's just an aging LED going from white to orange.  Nothing to worry about.

  • I believe it's due to worn out LEDs. The Hub3s are now coming up to almost 15 years old. They used cheap RGB LEDs to create white light, the separate LEDs deteriorate at different paces. I believe the blue LED begins to dim first so the colour balance goes off and white starts to appear yellow.

The LED is actually a good indicator of how many hours a Hub3 has been powered on. If it's brilliant white, you know it's not been used much. If it's yellow/orange you know it's a well used, old customer return.

  • Hi Sam42,

Thanks for taking the time to contact us via the Community. It's lovely having you on board with us in the Forums.

If you are seeing a solid light then it means everything is okay. This is what you’ll see when the Hub’s working normally.

Are you having any issues with your connection at all? If so, please expand on this so we can look into things further for you.

    Thanks,

I have already had a watts app message with virgin media team they have sent me out a new router.

  • Thanks for coming back to us Sam42, have you got your new router and been able to set it up?

Please let us know, if you have or you're having any issues with the set-up or your new hub.

    Kind Regards,
