Hub 3 Continuous Red - Being told changing stories

My Hub 3 light has been red for several weeks now.

I have done all the things to do online.  Full Reset.  Checking Cables. Turning off and on - all with no change

Tried contacting via chat and was told there was nothing to worry about and probably just doing a firmware update (!?).  Next time was told its just the LED's age ??

Internet does drop on occasion.  More so between Wi-fi and my TV box.  Happens constantly meaning catch up or streaming is unavailable.

Anyone else having same issues.

Very common - search this board.  Its due to a failing/fading cheap LED in the Hub.  Is usually not a fire risk but it does mean that the Hub's overheating warning ststem is compromised.   A VM person will be along soon and offer to swap the Hub out - usually for another (refurbished) Hub3.

But the Hub 3 with the obviously failing LED will need to be swopped out for, ideally a newer one. You have arranged this, no?
