Google wifi

Hi all, please bear with me as I have no idea about what I’m trying to achieve! 😀

i have a hub 3 and I’m trying to connect Google Wi-Fi, Once I connect one “pod” then I’m hoping to connect another 2 so I can get Wi-Fi in the garden. I was told that all I need to do is plug in the pod, connect the Ethernet cable to the pod and to the hub 3, go to the Google home app and add the device. So I do all of this go to the home app press add. It then sees the Wi-Fi pod, I scan the qr code on the back of the pod and hit connect it thinks about it for a minute and then I get a message saying it is unable to connect. I really have no idea so please be gentle 😂 On the back of the hub 3 where the Ethernet cable is connected from the hub the light is green so I presume that is ok?

Any help would be really appreciated!

Kr, Dave

  • I can help just need some information on how u could get Internet to ur garden.

How far from the hub is the garden and how many walls??

Might be able to offer a simple alternative.

I am free this afternoon if you want to talk about it. As there is simple solution depending on how u want to do it.

This could be from one device just depends on how u would like to do it.

    Also welcome to VM

Thanks for the offer. I managed to sort it. Put the Virgin hub 3 into modem mode but then had to do a factory reset on the Google Wi-Fi pod. As soon as it completed it connected!
