Broadband down in NG3

This happens regularly now - 2 weekends ago it was the same thing. White flashing arrow on router, virgin website claims there are no problems in the area, but there clearly are. It was on a Sunday last time as well, as I was unable to watch the football! Very annoying. Any reliable way of finding out if the service is actually down? I just don't trust the virgin website checker at this point.

      Thanks. Phoned them, no issues in my area apparently. Also gone through the usual process of resetting router, checking connections etc…
