Area 21 Outage

At around 9pm last night my internet died. I have a Hub 5x with a beautiful blinking blue light. Did various soft and hard reboots aswell as a pinhole reset. Nothing. Called at 8am and was put through to the 5x hub team who say there is an outage and the ETA of the fix is 10.30. I get back from the gym and surprise surprise it’s still blinking blue. Called again with a new ETA of 8am tomorrow which I know is BS. The online service checker does not mention any outages in my area. Why is there a specific support and status section for this hub and is anyone else impacted? I’m based in Se6 and have the 1gig package.

Try the street level fault number : 0800 561 0061  this is an automated service.

Thanks. I did call that earlier and it said it was fine. Now it’s been updated😂. I’m just glad it’s widespread and not isolated as it should mean a quicker resolution.

  • How do you know which area you are? I have also been without internet since 9pm last night (SE4)

For me it says it on the VM app. The local area outage number says it’s affecting Lewisham so you and me being Brockley and Catford fall into this category unfortunately.

Unfortunately the VM areas can be duplicated in different parts of the country, they are just for billing purposes, a left over from when many companies were amalgamated. If you wish to give you location without fully exposing where you are, use the first part of the postcode and the digit after the space.
