Address not listed

Hey all,

I'm moving to a new property soon and looking to get Virgin as my provider. It's a fairly new property and as such the RM address database hasn't fully updated with the address, and Virgin's checker lists the street address but not the flat number.

I've tried calling sales but they said they couldn't service the property as only the door number is listed and not the flat number, despite the building having been built as flats.

Has anyone got any advice?

Many thanks!

Is the flat in a new build property?  If so, its usual for the builders to liase with internet suppliers and configure the properties to receive one or more supplies.

So do any other flats have BB connections?  If so are they with VM or OR, or someone else.  Best to ask the developer - or the estate agents -- or knock on a few doors and ask - or do a reccy outside for evidence of VM connectivity - wall boxes, street cabinets, o'head cables - or any internal distribution system?

The property is a new build, yeah - although the developer did no liasing with any supplier to get internet to the property (which is proving to be a pain!!)

Others have managed to get Openreach installs but the line quality is apparently awful. VM service our postcode however because it's a new build it's not showing up on the system to the sales team.
