Unfortunately I believe this feature no longer works. Virgin are sadly moving away from the V6 box so unlikely it will get fixed. Instead you will need to go into the "Series Link Manager" and note down the series links (taking a few photos may be the easiest way) before adding them again on the new box.
Just be glad it's not a 360 as that does not have a series link manager and you can only add series links for programs in the current TV guide, so it would be even more hassle!
