TNT Sports Add-on not working

With the demise of Eurosports 1 & 2 at the end of February I have been scrambling to finbd the least expensive option to continue following live cycling events on the Virgin Media TV selection. I refuse to pay almost £40 a month to Discovery+ for a host of sports that I don't follow just to access cycling coverage.

After some digging , I established that I could choose TNT Sports as an "Add-on" to my TV package for an additional £18/month. This was claimed to give me access to the previousl output that was offered by the Eurosports channels.

Yesterday I went online and signed up for the Add-on and thereafter I received an email from VM summarising my order with an order reference number for the Add-on and the new monthly cost for this package. TNT Sports was listed under that order in the Add-on section. The email signed off with the words "Enjoy your new services"

Trouble is I can't enjoy them as the TNT Sports group is still Greyed out in my channel list and is stating that I need to upgrade if I want to watch any of the 4 channels. I did do a reset on my V6 box but that didn't do anything.

Is there likely to be a delay in these channels being available or have I got to do something else to "unlock" access. Strada Bianche coming soon so want the service to watch that.

    Hi arlowood

I'm afraid you'll be in for a bit of wait for the upgrade to be processed.

Once you've agreed to the terms and conditions  for any online renewals or regrades made through My Virgin Media or via an email offer that was sent to you, the orders go to a back office team who apply the deal. This can take up to 14 days to process and they'll send you an email confirming the change has been made.

Changes made over the phone are usually actioned immediately so you could contact the Sales or Customer Services team over the phone and ask them to add the TNT Sports channels, however as this £18 offer is an online exclusive, the Sales or Customer Services team won't have visibility of them and will probably be unable to match that price point.

(Once it's been 14 days, if the new contract hasn't been put in place, pop back and update this thread and a member of the forum team will be able check things further for you)

      Hi @newapollo

Many thanks for the helpful comments. I guess I'll just have to be patient for a bit longer to see if the TNT Sports Add-on eventually gets activated.

Just to confuse the situation further I have just received an email from VM. Content is as below. As you can see they have not recognised the inclusion of the Add-on and are indicating that there have been no changes. This contradicts the earlier email which confirmed the inclusion of the TNT Sports Add-on and the new monthly charge resulting.

I'm loathe to do it but I think I'll have to call to sort out what is going on. Will wait a week or so before taking the plunge

I'm fairly sure £18/month is the standard price for TNT Sports on VM.

Incidentally, for any "channels are missing" query on a TiVo or V6, don't bother with restarting the box - instead, follow Home > Help & Settings > Help > TV Care > I'm missing some channels
