Prime tv on virgin

I'm watching football on prime tv and it's great picture sound everything but when I put it on on my second box it's very jumpy and it also has subtitles and I can't take them off and yes I've tried the subtitles button on remote

    Press the Down navigational button on the 360 remote whilst playing a program on Prime. This will bring up a sub menu. Use the Right navigational button to highlight the Subtitles icon to turn them On or Off.

    Can I just check did the advice below at at all?

    Are all the cables also plugged in secure?
