Area codes are for billing purposes, & refer to the cable companies VM has absorbed, so could be in multiple geographic areas where that company won franchises. They do not relate to a specific location, so you are far better quoting the nearest town.
If you are in a traditional cable area, something as simple as a public electricity supply failure in an estate between the customer and the fibre node (which can be 1km away) can cause a cable service outage. This will not show on VMs systems. If it is a street equipment failure it usually shows on the telephone status line within an hour.

The primary fault-reporting channel is via phone - 0345 4541111 or 150 from a VM landline. Responses on this forum can sometimes take a couple of days, making this board best for non-urgent issues.
Firstly check via the automated 0800 5610061 status line whether a loss-of-service is known about in your street/postcode

Grateful if Mods could investigate the total loss of all my services in area 22. Services were lost approximately 20 minutes ago.

Hi Thyper
Welcome back to our forums, and sorry to hear you have been having issues with loss of service. We can understand the frustration caused, and we want to best help. Is service down on wired or wireless devices? Have you also checked here for a local fault? Is the service issue still ongoing since your last post?
Thanks,

The mods only look after the board integrity. The VM staff on the board will not be able to give you more information than the phone and they will not get to your post for 2 or 3 days. If there is not an area fault, call customer services, this board is not a fault reporting system.
