Has anyone managed to swap the stream box for a V6 box?

Totally regret getting stream box which can’t record and is as much use as a chocolate fireguard!

Has anyone managed to swop their useless stream box for a useful V6 box.?

My area is not fibre to home so V6 box will still work.

  • The only advantage of having a stream box is to benefit Virgin Media as they get more money from advertisers as you can’t fast forward through adverts.I feel I was duped into getting a stream box on my contract renewal.I was told I couldn’t keep my 360 box and had to send it back.Now can’t do series link,record or other other useful features.Will be ditching Virgin like a hot potato at contract end.👎🏻

    Please can you confirm are you receiving any error messages when trying to fast forward?

      No errors but get a message saying this channel doesn’t allow that when I try to fast forward, can rewind ok but not fast forward.Stream box is rubbish.👎🏻

        Hi TOMCAT22 👋 Thanks for returning to the thread to keep us updated. 

        Sorry to hear these frustrations as a result of your recent package change and swap to a STREAM box. 

        The stream boxes are sadly unable to fast-forward on content, this is because they don't have a hard-drive like some of our other TV Boxes. 

        I do appreciate your frustration given your experience at renewal, and would like to raise a complaint so we have a formal record of your feedback and can investigate what happened - including why you were advised you were unable to keep your TV360 box.

    V6 (which runs TiVO firmware) has not been available to new or existing customers (unless you have already got one) for some time, as the agreement with TiVO is ending.

    If you are in a traditional cable area you can still get a V360 Horizon firmware box for an activation charge of £50.

      Dont think thats true,i asked to keep my 360 box but was told i had to send it back.I am in a traditional cable area!!

    If you're out of contract, cancel, and give them your demand for a V6  when they come begging for your continued custom (if you're in contract, you're stuffed).

      Recently renewed contract so I guess I’m stuffed.I have been a customer for about 20 years but I won’t be renewing again after the farce of the stream box.
