Green screen of death
Hi all. As of this morning I have been encountering the green screen of death as previously discussed in this forum. My V6 box is scrolling through welcome screens, Starting Up screens and the “serious problem with the DVR screen” and has been doing so for hours. I contacted VM support by telephone and explained precisely the problem. The solution apparently after I had switched it all of and on again several times is a new HDMI cable which I have also seen discussed here before. I tried to explain that after reading the forum it would appear that this will not correct the problem however I have been told I will be without my TV for 3 to 5 days whilst the cable arrives and should it not solve the problem I should contact them again. Can anybody tell me whether there is any chance whatsoever that this cable is going to fix the problem as I suspect it’s not. Thank you.
