Can I change channel on a box from another location?
My Mum has trouble using the remote control to change channels, is there a way I can do this for her from another location?

I think the RC facilities work to the same rules, & are part of the same functionality as the playback of recordings to mobiles & tablets. In other words everything has to be on the same home hub network to operate.

If you migrate to the 360 I think the Virgin TV Go app can be used to change channels using mobile network. I'm sure some knowledgeable person can say if this is true.
You've posted in the V6 forum so you can use the TV Control app as long as your phone or tablet is connected to the same home network as your Mum's V6 box, however it won't work from another location.
The TV Control app is available for android and ios devices.

Thank you, yes I tried that and got the same network message. Kind of limiting really as you'd have to be in the same house or very close by to be on the same network.
