Why can’t I remove the mini screen

Since my upgrade I have the annoying mini screen playing while I’m looking through the TV guide. Please help me remove it!!
thanks

  • You can remove it by deciding what you want to look at, whether it's recordings or apps etc, but if you can't then you don't miss what you have just been watching.

I like having a nice long scroll through the guide and when it’s playing a programme I often see it as a spoiler! Before the upgrade to 360 you could simply turn it off in settings. Which is what I’m looking to do

        Hi Lorrie414,

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear the mini viewing screen is annoying you, there isn't an option to remove this, apologies if this does change we will make our customers aware of this.

        Regards

        Paul.

  • Hi

I select channel 968 which is a static black screen notice for 'Channel off air'

Although this is an adult channel, the notice is clean, and suitable for all IMHO

This may require a 'view all channels' setting but will still be Pin protected in Parental Controls

Thanks for your feedback Leemar in this matter, I am sorry you're not a fan of it.

      Best wishes.

  • I totally agree! I hate this tv preview. Thankfully my contract is up soon so will be getting rid of virgin at the earliest opportunity.

      Hi Linds2

      Welcome to the community forums

Sorry to hear you're not a fan on the mini screen on the 360. We always take on board the feedback we receive so we can collect the information and use it to learn more about the areas we need to improve. This has been passed along to the relevant teams.

        Tuning in

Please give the option to make it stop.

  • Has there been any development on ways to turn off this preview screen? I'm not sure why you would need to watch the mini television whilst looking through recordings or your watchlist. It's very distracting.

      Hi phillyt2k .

Although this mini screen box showing what's currently on live TV is on both the 360 and Stream boxes, it's a feature that's part of the Horizon entertainment system and is also integrated on Liberty Globals (VM's owners) in house Horizon boxes in the rest of Europe. As such I very much doubt it will be turned off.

Liberty Global, Actually for once listen to the customers, I know its a strange concept to master Virgin 360 is good, but PLEASE through a firmware or software update or something give us the choice to turn the DAM MINI PREVIEW in the Guide OFF
