Wanting to join, it's not simple

SO i already have Broadband although i do want to upgrade the speeds, and i want to join Virgin TV. Spoke to various people on chat and got a range of prices from £35 to £132, i just want to tell them what i want and them offer me a decent price. Tried to do it online but it wouldn't let me order mini boxes. And they don't seem to listen, keep saying i don't want Cinema and Kids and then they add it in. Can you call and speak to the UK call centre? I was given a Whatsapp number  07803089684 but messaged yesterday and today and no one has replied?

Thanks for any advice

  • I have just joined VM, it has been nothing but hassle, it's been harder to join VM than it's been to cancel Sky and BT, the call centre is a joke, I couldn't understand most of them, they added stuff twice, ive been sent stuff I had canceled and didn't get stuff I wanted, I've never experienced such an inept company and I'm surprised they are still in business, now people will say why did I bother (I did cancel twice during the process) but the broadband is half the price of BT and I couldn't record on my sky package (Sky stream) so all I can say is good luck.

Do you mean you already have broadband with another supplier and you want to move to VM for broadband and TV?

If you are a new customer the VM sales number is 0800 183 1234.

Usually best to record any calls with VM in case any 'confusion' arises about what you have ordered and what the price is going to be.

The call centre staff will always try to up-sell you, to increase their commission.  Order it online on the website, take screenshots, and don't order more speed that you really need. Few families really need more than 350 Mbps.

If you can avoid signing up with VM do so.

The current level of VM customer service is expect a 2 hour wait on the phone and then to be cut off the moment your request / instruction does not involve paying a commission to the service agent in India or Bangladesh or is it Philippines this week.

      Hello yorkshirecath,

We can see you're already in a Private Message thread with one of my colleagues, we will arrange for this thread to be closed. Please feel free to respond to my colleague via Private Message which will remain open.

  • As previously asked do you already have Virgin broadband or are you looking to move to Virgin from another supplier.

If you go online and select the basic package which is the Bigger Combo bundle and then select the customise your bundle you should be able to add an extra box and when I do it it says the Stream box also gives the option to add up to 5 boxes.

When does it stop you ordering.
