Virgin V6 Crashing Samsung TV

Hi all - I recently updated my virgin box to have the new UI/Software, but since doing the update the TV's software crashes (Samsung Tizen), this only happens on the Virgin input - I haven't had this issue with the Xbox or any streaming apps, and the TV then gets caught in a boot cycle for a few spins, but then runs fine (ideally, it shouldn't be doing this and is very inconvenient).

I've already tried:

  • factory resetting both the TiVo and the TV
  • New cables
  • Changing inputs
  • Ensuring software updates have been completed

Any advice would be appreciated!

If you have taken the 360 “upgrade”, you no longer have a V6 box. It is actually a migration to a totally different TV platform, similar to converting a Windows PC to the Linux operating system. 360 runs on the Horizon server driven platform, so is classed as a V360 master box.

As far as the HDMI output is concerned, as long as you are connecting with a lead that is at least HDMI 2.1 standard, it should work.

You should get a response from the staff team here shortly. In the meantime, I will move your post to the V360 forum.

  • Can you clarify what you mean by crashes the TV.  Does this happen as soon as the 360 is turned on or after a period of time, if it is connected to an HDMI-eARC connector try connecting to just an HDMI only connector if you have one. You coud also try turning off the 'one power' option on the 360 and the Anynet+ on the TV to see if that makes any difference, it might be an HDMI handshaking issue.

  • Hey Gingerbreadyman, thank you for reaching out and we reaching out and we are so sorry to hear about your TV crashing.

As mentioned what is crashing is this, is it when you turn the box on or plug it into another HDMI?

Have you tried another HDMI lead?
