Unable to set up new additional box

I have recently signed up to Virgin and have a main box in one room and a additional, much smaller box in another room. 

I have follows all of the instructions and have set up the main box with the remote control and it is working. However, the smaller box will not work. I have switched it on and it is stuck at the ‘Select your Location’ page. The light on the box is red and the remote will not do anything - I have not got to the pairing stage like I did with the main box and it’s getting a little frustrating. 

any ideas? I’ve tried holding ‘TV’ and rewind as well as holding ‘TV’ and 0 and also holding the power button on the front of the little box for 10 seconds. All to no avail

    Have you tried setting up the mini box beside the Hub, just in case it's a Wifi issue?  Or fresh batteries in the remote?  Just a thought.

      Well, I haven’t even got to the point of connecting it to the Internet yet because the remote control won’t work

        Have you tried the working remote for the main box on the mini box?  There is also a VM app for controlling these boxes I believe?  Uses the phone's touch screen as the remote controller.  Don't know what it's called though.

    hey Paul, can you try connecting it to the Hub via Ethernet and restarting it?  I think the issue is either that or faulty or non-connected remote
