This is a significant development as Tubi is the biggest AVOD provider with huge content licensed from major studios and long-tail indie aggregators plus its own originals. Tubi also has a significant and growing FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) business.

As VM also offers Pluto TV, the biggest provider of FAST channels, you can see why this matters when you consider that AVOD and FAST are growing fastest in the IPTV market as subscription fatigue sets in and causes SVOD growth struggles.

FAST TV - 40 minutes of Ad’s and 10 minutes of content.  I’d this is the future, I’ll take up reading a “real” paper book. ;-)

Which set top box do you have?

According to broadbandanalyst.co.uk/ "Virgin Media has rolled out the Tubi app across its TV 360, Stream and V6 boxes. If you’re using one of these, the app should now be visible within the main TV interface, alongside other built-in streaming services."

I have the Tubi app on my 360. Remember to leave your box on standby and your hub running for overnight updates.

newapollo As with other V6 users here this Tubi app isn't showing under Apps on my V6 box. I also see that Pluto TV has been withdrawn from the V6.

      Thanks for the clarification Graham_A

I was mistakingly going by the information from two third party sites (<here> and <Here> ) which both indicated that the tubi app was available on the V6 boxes.

VM's press release <Here> doesn't indicate which actual boxes the tubi app is available on, it just states, "Tubi (www.tubi.tv), Fox Corporation’s (NASDAQ: FOXA, FOX) ad-supported streaming service, today announced it is now available on Virgin Media TV in the UK, making its vast catalogue of over 60,000 movies and TV episodes accessible to millions more households, at no extra cost."

I did read that Pluto was being withdrawn from the V6 but I can't recall where I read it.

The current list of apps on the 360 and Stream boxes (December 6th 2025) are:-  5, Al Jazeera, A-Maze-ing Mac,  Apple TV+, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, Channel 4, Dance TV, DAZN, Deutsche Welle, Disney+, Fiit, Fireplace, Fishing TV, Fit at Home, France24, ITVX, Mubi,  Netflix, VM On Demand Streaming, Paramount+, Pluto TV, Prime Video, QVC+, Radio Line, Rakuten, Solitaire Classic, Space Moodies, STV Player, Subscriptions, Tetris, Tubi, U, VM Store, Watch Free, World Poker Tour, You Tube
(Al Jazeera,  Deutsche Welle, and France24 are temporarily unavailable)

I'm afraid I don't have a list of current apps on the older tivo box, and the latest list I have for apps on the V6 box is outdated.  It was from May  20th 2025 and showed that 5, Al Jazeera, Amagi FAST, BBC iPlayer, BBC Sounds, Body In Balance, Channel 4, France 24, Games, Get Fit Today, ITVX, Netflix, Pluto TV, Prime Video, QVC, Radioline, Rakuten, Sky Sports+, STV Player, U, Virgin Media Store,YouTube were available at that time.

VM wants V6 users to migrate to the 360 or Stream, so what's the point of getting new apps written for the V6 or existing apps updated.

Roger_Gooner That may well be the case, however, this thread refers to third party links that incorrectly stated that VM have added the app to the V6 platform.

In the case of UKTV & Sky Sports, there must have been contractual factors at play.

TiVo is now a legacy platform where only essential maintenance need be done. Apps are not essential so all VM had to do is say to the app developers "Don't bother with the V6, just do it for the 360 and Stream as we're migrating everyone to these boxes." This is why apps are quietly disappearing from the V6. You'd never guess as the apps page hasn't been updated since 12 March 2025, leaving the unwary thinking that the V6 has more apps than it actually has.
