Switching to 360 from Sky Questions

Hi, considering adding a TV service to my Virgin 1 gig broadband package with Volt benefits.

I currently have a Virgin 1 gig bb service and two Volt O2 sims on my account, looking at what’s available with Virgin TV services I would get more channels for the same cost as my current Sky package.

A 360 box would need another through wall coax connection as it will be too far from my router, would this be free?

if Netflix standard is included, how much extra is the upgrade to Netflix 4k?

Are any other 4k channels available, are they extra?

My Sky contract still has a few months to run, deciding which way to go is difficult, but I think Virgin broadband overall is far more reliable than BT in my experience, so would prefer to mover everything to Virgin

  • Hi johndm,

Thanks for your post and welcome back to our community.

We can't do package changes here on the forums, however we'd recommend having a look through our TV options here.

We've also recently introduced Flex which may be of interest 😊 You can read more about that here

We'd recommend speaking to the team please if you do decide to add TV to your package, you can reach the team on 150 (free of charge) from a Virgin Media landline or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone.

If you have any further questions, please pop back to us and we'd be happy to help.

The first thing is to make sure you are in a traditional cable area that carries broadcast TV. If the offers for your postcode include V360 you are good to go. Most of the channels on Sky are available (excluding Sky Atlantic), & there are a few that are not on Sky. As you are adding a service any change to the coax would be free. Netflix deals vary, so you would need to look at packages to get a price. The only 4K channels available are a single dedicated channel plus Sky Sports (additional cost). Sky Movies UHD is provided via On Demand only. Other UHD channels operate on a part time basis (eg TNT) as & when content is available.

You would be subscribing to a bundle such as Mega Volt comprising broadband, TV, O2 and Netflix standard with ads. TV is HD at best so you have to add personal picks for upgrades, e.g. I have Sky Sports Ultra HD. This would be a new 18-month contract. If you like Eurosport it should be noted that the content will soon be rolled into TNT Sports (which costs an extra £18 per month). You can check out the channel guide to see what's available.

  • Not interested in sports, but some of Skys sports stuff is listed as available with the mega volt bundle plus movies that I don’t currently have with my Sky package.

ive had Sky as my TV provider since it started, but with less and less content , constantly increasing prices, I think I can get far more from Virgin for the same money.

i do have Apple and Netflix premium which I will probably keep watching separately on my Apple TV 4K box
