As a reference is iPlayer slow to start but then play's ok, also do you need to sign in to the apps every time.
Have you tried rebooting both the 360 and hub, if not power off both the 360 and hub, wait 2 to 3 minutes then turn the hub back on and let it fully reboot then turn the 360 back on.
If that doesn't help try a factory reset of the 360 using the keep recordings option, you will need to sign in again to your apps.

All streaming channels now produce error code CS2400 or CS2000.
So no, streaming is currently a failure. Channels we tried in lude U_alibi, BBC iplayer, ITVx. This is AFTER we restarted both the router and the virgin box.
Any suggestions are much appreciated.

The CS2400 error mainly affects BBC channels, possibly related to the BBC iPlayer app, for which a link is triggered when you land on a BBC channel. This provides the interactivity with the red button in the same way as customers get an error message when there is no internet connectivity with the box.
You can force the BBC channels to play without the pop up reappearing if you hit the back button on the 360 remote when the error message appears, and then press pause and play. I don't think it will work on BBC channels though.
CS2000 may possibly be a hard drive problem. To check this do you have any problems watching recordings? Also please pause and rewind a live TV and then play it back. (it's the same as recording, but if it doesn't play back correctly then it would seem to confirm a possible hard drive issue.
How much free space is showing on your hard drive? Recordings > Recorded > View all > It will show a percentage in the top left hand corner of this screen. You might need to delete some recordings.
Have you tried a factory reset?
To factory reset go to Settings (the cog at the end of the Home menu) > System > Factory Reset. It's actually misnamed and only a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset. You are given 2 options
Keep Recordings
Format DiskChoose Keep Recordings, that means you won't lose your recordings and any planned recordings or series links you've set up. You may have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITVX again. Also Match frame rate and Standby power consumption will go back to their default settings if you have changed them.

For some time we had streaming channels going off-line with an CS2400 error code or becoming exceedingly slow to load. Restarting the 360 box and/or router does not help. Now the U channels for instance appear to be constantly off-line to a degree it seems a dereliction of service we pay for.
Any advice (that can actually change the current situation) would be welcome.
Cheers K

When you say about channels being off-line, do you mean you can't view these specific linear broadcast channels? That's a different fault if so, and may indicate an underlying issue.
Any content accessed via apps or OnDemand means streaming. Watching a live TV channel is a different thing. Your mention of "channels appear to be constantly offline" suggests a live TV problem.
