Rubbish

Hi we only upgraded so we could get sky sports + but these 360 boxes are total rubbish what on earth are virgin doing and only one recording box per household is ridiculous our son has a learning disability so he needs to be able to record but we have the streamer it's always saying his box is offline so we can't watch our recordings it isn't offline at all I've checked it it's an absolute joke don't think I've heard one positive review of the 360 from anyone so what's the box issue no error code just box offline done all the usual things rebooted etc nope still nothing any suggestions please..

    Hi Lj711

On your sons's 360 box go to Settings > System > Standby power consumption. You have 3 choices.
Fast start  - the 360 starts quickly but is less energy efficient
Active start - more energy efficient than fast start but the box takes a little longer to start up
Eco start - the most energy efficient and probably the one you're using. It uses minimal power but takes a while to start.
The first two options are best if you have a either a mini box or a Flex (Stream) box and want to watch a recording that's on the main 360 box.

  • Thank you very much for that when he is at his day centre tomorrow I will try that as IT is trying my patience badly as you can tell I detest the 360 😊

References to only having one recording box tells me you have one TV360-master and additional TV360-minis. It probably therefore follows that your minis were swapouts from TiVo's, and your master was either a TiVo or a V6.

The TiVo's don't support Sky Sports+ but the V6 do.

  • You could try swapping the boxes around to see if it makes any difference, how are the boxes connected to the Virgin hub ethernet cable or wi-fi.

As already advised fast start or active start is needed and don't switch either box at the plug.

Are you using the virgin hub in modem mode and your own router and wi-fi which could be a possible cause of the connection between the boxes.
