Lost recordings
Error message when trying to watch recordings so switched box off at the wall & when it came back on, all recordings had vanished. Is there anyway of getting them back?

A number of 360 boxes received an over the air update earlier this week and this may caused the loss of your recordings.
I see you had issues with recordings previously <Here> It's very possibly a hard drive issue and if so you are very unlikely to be able to recover the recordings.
Have you tried factory resetting the main 360 box? This may recover them if it's just a hiccough connecting to VM's cloud server (but very, very unlikely)
To factory reset go to Settings (the cog at the end of the Home menu) > System > Factory Reset. It's actually misnamed and only a partial system reset and not a complete factory reset. You are given 2 options

Format Disk
Normally choosing means that you won't lose your recordings, and any planned recordings, or series links you've set up. You may have to sign into your apps such as iPlayer, Prime, Netflix and ITVX again. Also Match frame rate and Standby power consumption may go back to their default settings if you have changed them.
