Linking my Samsung TV Remote to Humax 1008R-HDD-VM

I am trying to link my universal Samsung TV Remote to my virgin 360 box, but I cannot find the model under the Humax list, and also cannot find Ziggo in the manufacturers list of DCR7111 under Pace. ...

Hi VMDave 

Samsung performed some kind of update which stopped the DCR111 method working, or it would work for a while and then drop out.

I'm not sure if this still works but these instructions on how to set the remote manually came from the Samsung Thread 

You need to:
1) select satellite box > tv directly
2) enter your postcode
3) select virgin
4) select hdmi that your virgin box is connected to
5) hit channel up and select no for 3 or 5 times. After that it will offer you to search for model of your box manually.

I have done this and can select Humax as a manufacturer but cannot find my model number.

    Hey,

    Did you ever resolve this? Having the same issue, remote won't change the channels during set up and can't find the model number.

      I found a fix. I selected Humax as the manufacturer, entered 1008r as the model number then choose the 1st one on the list. Allowed me to change volume and channels. Good luck.
