What parts don’t you like? Is the way the TV guide works ok? Mine is scheduled to be upgraded next week. Don’t think I can stop it happening. Maybe virgin media support can find you a reconditioned V6 box to swap out?

Take my advice don't upgrade to V360 its definitely not an upgrade

360 will not just switch on. The V6 box was always on but 360 seems to switch off. When it does come on it won't select the correct HDMI input on the TV. Mostly if the picture does come on there is no sound. The "home" screen is a mess

Conversions to TV360 are completely voluntary, and involve account changes as well as the reformat of your V6 to run Horizon-360 software.
Reversions are not possible where you've requested the migration.

We weren't given the information about your data amalgamation and theft until after the "upgrade" had happened. It just came up on a screen while I was watching something. Appalling practice. I want to revert to V6 because I was "sold" something without due care by the supplier. Send me an old V6 box if you don't have a "downgrade" routine that can be run.

What data amalgamation & theft are you referring to? Can you be more specific?
It sounds as though VM offered you a migration to TV360 which you accepted. Can you explain the circumstances how you feel this was sold without due care? You may have a case, but you'll need to explain.

But they're not really "voluntary" are they? I've just had it from your social media rep that V6 is being phased out. So it's either 360 or the highway. With all that lovely data slurping for customer profiling that we can't opt out of. I believe it's the law that you're supposed to opt-in to that stuff, not out. So you're sailing close to the wind as it is!

Yes, conversions are 100% voluntary. The only exception is where you take a new contract bundle which includes either Disney+ or Paramount+ which aren't available on V6.
For anyone else, TiVo/V6 remains fully supported including fault replacements.
I note you also refer to me as if I'm VM staff. I'm not.

Conversions are NOT voluntary. The email I received pretty much said like it or lump it. The only way you will get Sky Sports +. And all I would lose was my recordings. No mention of anything else. Had I been able to trial the utterly useless 360, I wouldn't have bothered. It doesn't even provide what it promised as far as Sky Sports + is concerned as you select Bristol City V Millwall and it shows Derby V Middlesbrough. It is not fit for purpose. Surely a platform built for streaming should show the game you select. It doesn't happen with NOW. It doesn't happen with Amazon.
And from what I have read elsewhere on this forum it is possible to revert but only if you make a song and dance about it and threaten to leave.

I recorded Chelsea v City came to view said it couldn't connect to virgin media try later, tried several times didn't work, tried the following day and it worked, so you cant watch when you want, I am sure nobody has tested this awful v360 system

Conversions are 100% voluntary.
The current activity is promoting the Sky Sports HD multi-screen which is (currently) exclusive to TV360. If you want that facility before the V6 launch, you will need to convert.
I've also received an email promoting TV360, and have not been forced to convert.

It is hardly voluntary if I want to watch EFL which I have paid for.
Always helps if you say what you don't like, then the forum team can pass the info on.

Think you mean 'upgrade' to the V6. Not a chance, the 360 is cheaper for them as they don't have to pay for the Tivo licence anymore.
Beware of false prophets with words like 'upgrade'. The only thing they are upgrading are their profits.

I have asked the same question to Virgin, still awaiting someone from the v360 team to contact me. I cant believe how bad it is, cant pause a recorded program, Tv guide is useless going back in time, so if you manage to find the process to revert back to V6 please let all know

Hi pripat
Thanks for your post, welcome back to the Community Forums.
I'm sorry to hear you feel this way about the 360 software, we can certainly pass your feedback on.
We're afraid that once your TV boxes have been upgraded, it's not possible to revert back to the previous software/boxes.
- Craig100Tuning in
Of course it's possible to revert, you just don't want us to. You could send out a replacement box that hasn't been upgraded. Job done!

Not as simple as that. The account has to be deleted & completely reconstructed. If they just gave you a replacement V6 without changing your account the new box would just upgrade to 360 again automatically after 5 days operation, as others have found out.

I would also like to go back to Tivo - no options for a keyword wish list recording option which I used all the time. Really unhappy and will be looking to see if other providers can offer this.
- Craig100Tuning in
What they don't tell you prior to requesting the "upgrade" is all the privacy intrusions you can't switch off, which is what I severely object to. The amalgamation of data from multiple sources, obviously they must buy data from the likes of Google and Facebook, etc. For that reason alone, I want to go back to V6. Or, I'll just ditch them altogether.

Best start shopping around then, that won't get you TiVo-firmware back though. No UK provider offers it - if anything, the UK pay-TV market is moving away from recording.
