How to Adjust Size and Reduce Horizontal Stretch

The subtitles on my Virgin Media box are appearing excessively large and stretched horizontally, making them difficult to read. I need to know how to access the subtitle settings to decrease their size and prevent them from stretching so widely across the screen. This issue affects all channels and is not specific to a single program.
