Is this just on a 360 main box or between a 360 main box and mini box. Previously there have been problems if the Virgin hub is set to modem mode, are you using your own router.
You could also check your service status in your My Virgin Media account or try 0800 561 0061 which should give you problems down to post code level if they are known about.

This is on my 360 box. Looks like there’s a problem with the box and I’m being sent a new one. Unfortunately won’t be able to record anything over Christmas!
