confirmed by Virgin Media Custommer Support that Discovery+ app is on Virgin TV 360

I just signed up to Virgin Media, and the salesperson (who sold me Virgin Media and goes by the name "T$$") has confirmed to me (before signing up) that the Discovery+ app is included in the Virgin TV 360 box as a standalone app and not through Prime Video. Because I did a check on the internet where I found out that Discovery+ is NOT installed on the Virgin Media TV 360, I called the customer service to query bout it. They just CONFIRMED to me over the phone that the Discovery+ app will be available on my Virgin Media TV 360 when they do my installation next week. I double-checked with them, and they confirmed. YES STAND ALONE DISCOVERY+ APP (not through primevideo) will be available on my Virgin TV 360. Can any of the Virgin Media subscribers check and let me know that this is correct and that they have discovery+ on their Virgin Box 360 ? What is Virgin Media's official comment on this one ? I hope it's not a lie

  • There is no Discovery+ app currently on the 360 box, could someone have been hinting that it could be coming next week or just telling you something to get you to sign up.

I do have the Discovery+ app on my LG smart TV check your TV's apps and go direct instead of using Prime.

    Hi rolandos

Your query has been passed to the forum mods to see if they have an answer.

At present the Discovery+ isn't available on any of VM's set top boxes and I personally wouldn't expect that to change in the near future. Sky had first dibs on it and next year Warner Brothers Discovery will be introducing the HBO Max app into the UK, already agreed with Sky and in the process of being agreed with VM and other ISP's.  See the  /rxtvinfo  article

The current list of apps available on the various VM TV set top boxes is shown on the following page. https://www.virginmedia.com/the-edit/tv/your-virgin-tv-apps

Usually apart from leaked press releases the first place to find info on new services is via VM's news pages https://news.virginmediao2.co.uk/

I'll second this, with the additional comment that VM have very strong form in never announcing new channels and/or apps, in advance of actual launch.

VM-CS also have fairly good form in promising things that don't turn out to be true, in order to "resolve" an otherwise problematic call.

This may turn out to be true, but if so - it will be the first time ever that VM will have announced a new app/channel before launch.
