Box crashes when trying to use on demand or apps

I have this or similar problem.  If I try to use on demand, or any of the apps, the whole system crashes, and can only be restarted with a full reboot.  Reported last week and I’ve had texts saying that the signal issue in my area has been resolved - but the problem persists.

  • I have this problem.  Been through all the checks, processes, reboots etc.  Still no solution.  360 box crashes every time I try to access BBC iPlayer, ITVx, 4od (etc) or On Demand.  Other apps like YouTube still work.

Can you be more specific on what "all the checks & processes" are? That may help others advise, and avoid steps being duplicated

      Hi tommyread
      Welcome to the Community Forums.
Sorry to hear you're having issues accessing the apps on your set-top box.  Are you able to try a few steps for us to see if this helps resolve the issue?

Go to Settings > System > Clear Cache, then restart after clearing the cache.

If that doesn't work, please try a factory reset, but remember to choose to save your recordings, or you will lose them. Settings > System > Factory Reset > Select Keep Recordings if you want. You will need to sign into your apps again after the factory reset.

Keep us posted with how you get on.

There isn't a  Settings > System > Clear Cache option on the 360 boxes, so you would need perform the Settings > System > Factory Reset > Select Keep Recordings option instead
