360 "standby power consumption"

I'm loving the 360 free upgrade from my Tivo and V6 but what I am struggling to find out are any power consumption figures for when the box is in standby.

I know my old Tivo box used to eat the power and I can see a slight difference via my smart meter, but I'd love to see are some power figures for the three standby options on the 360 main box.

If these settings do have different standby efficiencies as stated via the settings menu then surely there must be some figures somewhere?

    On:11,16 Watt/11,84 Watt
    Standby (Fast Start):9,29 Watt/11,12 Watt
    Standby (Normal Start):1,59 Watt/1,55 Watt
    Standby (ECO):0,34 Watt/0,36 Watt

Info taken from https://www.tpcdb.com/product.php?id=7483 which is for the Dutch Ziggo MediaBox Next.

That box is the same one as my TV360 which was an upgraded V6 box (Arris DCX960)

Can you not test them with your smart meter?

Buy a plug-in power monitor device (approx. £10 to £15-ish) and test with that. Useful for testing all sorts of equipment if you have an interest in knowing power consumption of your devices.

Any TV recorder with a hard disk will have very similar consumption, because the disk is the biggest electrical load and they are all very similar devices.

Streaming boxes will use much less.

Thats exactly what I was after.

        Thanks

  • Best compromise is Active start it doesn't use much more than eco, this has been posted about before and someone tested the box, unfortunately I think that post has been archived.

The other point being, some features of the 360 don't work when the box is in Eco mode I believe?  The other thing is to turn it off completely for zero power usage ...
