Pixellation is usually a sign of a signal fault and will likely be affecting perhaps half a dozen other channels that are on the same broadcast frequency as Sky Max HD.
If a single reboot has failed to rectify symptoms, then there's a fault somewhere which will need resolving via a tech visit. Check for area faults using the 0800 5610061 automated line, and if no joy - call in via 0345 4541111 or 150 from a VM landline - to report your fault.
VM staff may respond on this board after a few days if you'd prefer that way.

Same issues i’m afraid, the online chat helpline said they think it’s an outside issue and advised a 24 to 48 hour fix, that was last Tuesday. Sky max and Sky sports news are unwatchable due to pixelation.

You need to get a technician booked. It is likely to be water ingress into the cables or connectors outside.

Technician came today, very thorough, eventually found a poor connection in the roadside green box. Replaced the connector, problem solved. Many thanks Virgin Media!!!
