Yep - I signed a contract on 14/01/2025 - service didn't start until I got my router around 18/01/2025 and already had the email today (17/02) to say it's going up by £3.50.
It's not exactly fair to increase it from less than 2 months IMO. They claim its an annual increase so its irrelevant when your contract starts - I think you should at least BE connected 12 months before you shaft the customer but hey that's me.. They have very cleverly now amended the choice to leave if your contract rises as well so you're forced to stay or pay to leave.
I don't genuinely get why contracts are even offered at any price with a fixed term just to increase them. Obvs the contract is to make you stay and anticipate a revenue but it simply should be a fixed term, a fixed price and left at that - more likely to keep existing customers AND new customers will continue to sign on also.
Yes, businesses need to make money, but you get no where screwing over your customers.
