Pixelation

Has anyone had an issue with pixelating on only one channel? (ITV) It's been happening for a couple of days. I've rebooted TiVo box twice, still the same and got fed up waiting on phone to get through to customer service. I did check service issues online and it did say TV ok . It’s pixelating during adverts as well

Pixellation is usually caused by a signal fault. ITV-HD & C4-HD are carried on the same frequency, as are C4+1 & ITV1+1 (both SD versions).

    Are those also affected?

      Hi, C4 & C4+1 are ok, I can’t find ITv +1 only STV+1 and it’s just as bad

Hey janeyh1959, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this.

Just to confirm is it only ITV? if so we are aware of an issue effecting this and the team are working on this under F011556232

  • I’m in Scotland and STV is unwatchable. ITV+1 is fine, looks like only STV affected at the moment.

FYI you have a short time after posting to edit, thus negating the need to put multiple short replies. ITV+1 is on Ch303 - all +1 channels are on the 3xx equivalent of the 1xx for main channel.

Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.
