Hi, I have a problem with the hdmi on my box.
When you turn on the TV I can bring up the home screen and the banner at the bottom with the channels displayed but no actual program picture or. Sound.
I have bought a new hdmi cable , same issue.
I have tried the other 2 hdmi ports on the TV and exactly the same. I have a fire stick that works in all of the TV hdmi slots so they appear to be fine.
Am I missing something? Can some one help please?

Sorry to hear of your concerns with your TV's HDMI.
Just to confirm, has the set-top box always worked with a HDMI?
Are you able to use the remote to check the settings on your set-top box?
If so, please try to manually connect to the Virgin Media service in the Network settings and keep us posted with how you get on.
Hi , previously I was using a scary cable but wanted to use HDMI to utilize the HD tv.
I have connected to the virgin media service but the problem.is the same.
If you get menus but no content then it is a content protection issue. The box HDCP signal has to handshake with the TV correctly or the channels won't decode. So this is either a box , TV or HDMI cable problem. Have you have tried another HDMI 1.4 or above standard cable?
My recommendation is to turn on your TV before your box as this is likely to avoid HDMI handshake problems.
