Solved

SilentGard

In the bumph that came in with the new landline connector, it showed an address for SilentGard and game a .com address to set call blocking up.
there’s just one problem, the silentgard.com address doesn’t work!

has anyone had this problem and have you found a solution?

  • I am sorry to hear that the webpage is now working, can you contact them on 0800 954 9046 ^Chris.

  • Hi macjim, thanks for the message and sorry to hear that you are having issues with the SlientGard, we have tried the website also and can confrim that it does not load. Have you been able to contact the company to see if they have an issue?

Eh, no, as I can’t get the website to load 🤔 Chris, and I don’t have any other contact information for them: all VM show in the leaflet is the website address.

Sorry to hear that the link isn't working. have you been able to try the phone number provided earlier in the thread from my colleague to see if you're able to gain support directly from SilentGard?

        Kindest regards,

Spoke too soon… can’t get the address to open.
silentgard.com is the address in the leaflet and it doesn’t work/can’t be found Chris.
      is there a different address?

Can you confirm how the call went and what did they advise? Can you send me a screenshot of the page when you cannot access? ^CW

      Settling in

The website does not work because there is no DNS registration or A record for silentgard.com.
Go to any online DNS lookup service on the web and try to find silentgard.com, https://dnschecker.org/ for instance, where you can choose which DNS server to use. Nothing.
Please stop blaming end users for the problem. We should not be the ones trying to contact SilentGard. It's Virgin's responsibility to ensure the service Virgin is promoting actually exists.
Reports of the problem go back over 6 months but Virgin have still not corrected the leaflet information.

  • What's the Solution?

I've had the leaflet today with the phone adaptor and the silentgard.com web site doesn't load!

Just had a leaflet (HP0520 - SKU10013850) for the phone line digital switchover, still has reference to silentgard.com

Sorry to hear of this krustydad, and thanks for your post.

Are you able to try resending the image with any sensitive information removed to avoid the image being blocked?

Once received we can seek to have this fed back for you.

      Thanks,

      David_Bn
