TV Go on the move

Hello

Is it correct that I can only use the TV Go to watch what is on my box when I am using the same Wifi network?

I would have thought that the point of it is to be able to watch things that have been recorded whilst on the move, but if I have to be connected to my home Wifi then this is impossible.

Also, is it possible to download the programs onto my phone or tablet, so that I can watch them whilst travelling?

    Hi again Pontius

Yes, you do need to be at home and on the same network  to watch  recorded programs on the TV Go app.

Yes you can download most programs onto your phone/tablet providing there's enough memory on the device, so you can watch them whilst travelling.  (There are sometimes restrictions placed by broadcasters on programs/movies to prevent downloads)

You have 30 days in which to watch your download, and 48 hours once you’ve started watching. Some episodes can only be downloaded a maximum of two times per account.

      Thanks for the reply.

I must be missing something then, because I can't see any option in my recordings to download, just Watch, Watch on TV or Edit Recording Settings.

I have got about 400Gb of free space on my phone, so it shouldn't be that

You can't download your recordings as this feature is for On Demand programmes. Note that there are limitations due to licensing such as BVoD, stream-only or geo-locked.

For a variety of technical and licensing reasons VM does not provide the option to stream recordings to a mobile device whilst away from home. This applies to Sky as well.
