Gig Broadband Only 100Mb/s

Just moved house and decided to push the boat out and get the gigabit broadband package. However, I'm not even getting 100Mb/s down (93 down, 106 up) from a PC hardwired to the Hub 5. I've checked that I have a 1000Mb/s LAN connection to the Hub and there's no issue there.

Can I get this looked at?

Steve

Most likely cause is the ethernet connection between the Hub and your PC is only operating at 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps. Try a new cable, and check ethernet connection properties in the PC settings.

Ooooh, now that is a very useful website!

So... checked the wife's PC using that and she's getting the full fat gig, so clearly something wrong at my PC's end. Changed out cables, direct connection from PC to hub etc, but still no different. Exactly the same PC was getting 220Mb/s on the Hub 5 in my old house, so not sure what's happened there. Tried the onboard NIC rather than the Intel dual port that I usually use, but still the same. Will investigate further!

      Thanks,
