WiFi problems connecting

Hello

I have a Hub 3 with various things connected to it via wifi.

I am trying to connect a couple of laptops to my Wifi at home, both have previously been connected to it.

When I try to connect both are now asking for the password although they used to connect automatically/

I input the password but all I am getting is " Unable to connect to this network"

Because this was happening I disconnected my iPad from my WiFi and now that too will not re-connect.

Has anyone any idea why this is happening please as all looks ok when I sign in to the hub?

You may need to try the password on the bottom of the Hub.  It may have reverted to the factory one for some reason?
Failing this just reset the Hub with a pinhole reset to get the original passwords back.

Signed into the hub, and checked the password, it has not changed. Resetting the hub to factory default as you suggest will not tell me why this problem occurred so if it occurs again I will not know why, plus factory resetting is a proper pain due to amount of other devices I have connected both via ethernet & wifi.

Do you use the Connect app?  Have the devices been paused at anytime? They may be in the MAC address blocking?

  • Hi Andy-Robinson

Welcome back to the community forums

Sorry to hear you're having issues connecting some devices back to your home network.

Have you made an customizations at all to your network or the security?
Are you able to try forgetting the network on those devices that aren't connecting to see if this helps to resolve the issue before a pin hole reset might be needed?

At the time that made no difference at all.

If you read my post correctly you will read that I disconnected an iPad from the network via this route and it would then not reconnect!

I managed to resolve the issue by disabling the Wireless Mac Filtering.
