Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Community Forums, sorry to hear you are having difficulties with switching to the 2.4Ghz network of your hub. This is not advisable as you will be causing considerable congestion on the Hub with your devices that are compatible with the 5Ghz channel of your Hub for performance, strength and speed reasons, doing this will result in poor performance and a number of device drops when using more speed demanding devices on a network that provides slower speeds.
If you are having issues with devices connecting or dropping off the network please let us know so that we can diagnose this and assist with resolving any issues that you have going forward. Please let me know.

Can you not rename the 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi channels to different names and just set all your devices to connect to the 2.4GHz one?
