Hi
I have my virgin media broadband equipment coming tonorrow, the quick start guide says to plug it straight into the telewest box on the wall however I already have a cable in that box running behind the skirting and going into another telewest wall socket (we just moved in, it must havr been the previous occupant)
Ive attached pictures, could anyone advise me how id connect thr router tomorrow when it arrives?

You say it's another box, but what kind?
The second picture is a phone socket. You won't be using that as VM phone connections are now on the Hub.
Remove the coaxial lead from the main box and plug the new Hub into it with the cable supplied.
