Permission to dig road

So I ordered VM on 9th Sept

I had engineers who came out on 21st Sept but said couldn't do the install as they couldn't find the pole.

The shop next door has VM connection and the installation engineer advised me that they would need to do a 2m dig to take a connection from the property next door to mine.

I am still waiting.

Every time I call VM (which is almost daily), all I get told is that its high priority, works are on going, but they don't know what works are being done. I can see no work is being done. I keep getting told my account manager will call me back, but nobody does. On the off chance I do get a call back, I get told they will chase it up with the other team and call me back, and guess what? Yep, no call back.

It is now affecting my business.

How long does this usually take? Its so annoying that there is no real, meaningful update or timeframe

  • If you have a business presumably you have ordered your broadband via Virgin Media Business rather than requesting a residential connection?

If you "keep getting told my account manager will call me back"

then presumably this is a business account as Account Managers aren't available with residential connections.

As such if  you are a VM Business customer, then unfortunately the forum team won't be able to help as they don't have access to the business systems as they are two separate entities. (These forums are for residential customers)

There may be an active live messenger chat function for VM Business on the following page

    https://www.virginmediabusiness.co.uk/help-and-advice/

    There's also a freephone number 0800 052 0800 or text support on 07480 639 012

Additionally there's an online Contact Form

I have absolutely tried everything, even raised complaints. Its honestly one of the worse experiences I've had

Is this a 2m trench to be dug from your neighbour's property to yours? If so be in no doubt that your neighbour will find this unacceptable. It's VM's responsibilty to get the cable from the duct (or pole in a small minority of cases) directly to your property.

But apparently they ‘can’t find the pole’!

I’d have thought they were hard to miss!

Its outside the property. About 4m away from neighbours shop front.

They apparently can't find the pole where their box is. So bizarre
