Nexfibre cabinets

Living in Littlehampton and we have had Nexfibre go around the estate installing the toby boxes, along with the small medium and large grey boxes. Does anyone know what these are for and more importantly, does the line go live when the biggest box is installed in the street.

I say this as it’s been since November last year that the toby box was installed outside my house and every week I check and service can not be ordered yet.
