New Overhead Installation - relocate old BT cable?

Hi

Virgin tell us we can now get Gig2 overhead fibre to our new (old) property. The house currently has a BT telephone wire (service disconnected) from a telegraph pole with the new Virgin fibre cables and boxes attached to the left of the front of the house.

My question is, can we get the Virgin cable routed from the pole to a different part of the front of the house instead of where the BT wire had been routed?

We intend to get a front extension and the BT wire goes exactly where this will be built. The old BT line also goes in next to the front door where there's no mains plug sockets in the hall. We'd like the cable to go into the room next to the hall instead.

Can they take down the old BT line as well?
