Cancellation?

We ordered the quickstart wifi kit, but realised after it arrived that we don't have the virgin media socket. I also noticed we don't have the outdoor box that is required for connection either, which would mean having to dig up the pavement to install etc. 

Is it possible to cancel our account/direct debits and return the box? It would be too much messing around to try and get the proper boxes/sockets for it to be installed, and think we might look for another provider that is compatible with the wifi sockets we already have in the house.

  • Although sometimes boxes are removed I'd say it's fairly unusual. The pavement digging is almost certainly something that won't be required. Are you able to share some pics of the sockets you do have? Sometimes VM sockets have legacy branding on them eg Cabletel.

    If the box has been removed, then a new cable will have to be installed from the catv box in the pavement, up to your wall, crossing any driveway, footpath, garden etc.
