Can you pay Virgin to check serviceable?

I did make a post yesterday but I finally got through to someone but I think they’ve just filled out the general form to question if the house is serviceable. They did say they will be in contact within a week.

Just a question, can you not offer to pay VM to send an engineer to assess the property to see if it can be connected?We haven’t bought the house yet but it’s only got Bt openreach FTTC offering 29mb. The whole area and the street has VM apart from this house. I asked the owner who said they’ve never had virgin and always had sky. Could it be that it’s just never being installed to the property?

Thank you for the link that’s a great website.looks like it’s because the house is on a shared driveway and they’d need permission from neighbours.

That’s the confusing thing, they do have VM installed so why would they stop there?the same street also has an identical off road/shared driveway on the other side and both of them houses have VM.Literally every house has VM on a 61 house street apart from this one (I just assumed it had and now at the very end and only found out once trying to order). I took it for granted as I lived on that street for 15 years and knew the area was VM.

That’s the confusing thing they do have VM so it is strange why VM would stop there.Also the street has &nbsp;another shared driveway next to it and both of them houses have VM.Out of the 61 houses on the street only 1 doesn’t have VM and just happens to be the one I’m trying to buy.
