Can you pay Virgin to check serviceable?

I did make a post yesterday but I finally got through to someone but I think they’ve just filled out the general form to question if the house is serviceable. They did say they will be in contact within a week.

Just a question, can you not offer to pay VM to send an engineer to assess the property to see if it can be connected?

We haven’t bought the house yet but it’s only got Bt openreach FTTC offering 29mb. The whole area and the street has VM apart from this house. I asked the owner who said they’ve never had virgin and always had sky. Could it be that it’s just never being installed to the property?

Any information from this website - Better Internet Dashboard

Is the house on an adopted road?  Do the house either side have VM?  Is there a VM "toby" box on the footpath outside the house?

Thank you for the link that’s a great website.

looks like it’s because the house is on a shared driveway and they’d need permission from neighbours.

Yes, a shared driveway will complicate things unless they already have VM installed?
