Another unauthorised installation

VM customer support. I've seen a few messages here with people saying you've performed an external install without consent or agreement. 

I found I've now part of those unhappy people. 

I have not agreed to, nor signed up to anything with Virgin Media. Yet I have had equipment installed on my private property. 

1. This amounts to fraud if I was signed up to virgin media or an account created with my personal details, without authorisation or signed agreement. 

2. This amounts to criminal damage to my property. 

3. This amounts to criminal tresspass. 

I have raised a complaint with VM support. I'm also seeking legal advice and reporting VM to the ombudsmen for breaching the rules.

I would appreciate a pretty rapid response before legal proceedings are started.

    What exactly did they install on your property and where is it on the property?

    Is there perhaps an historic "wayleave" on your property to allow this?  Perhaps from a previous occupant ?

      No, private property. Owned by me for the past 6 years. Brown virgin box. Attached to my exterior wall.

      I had a virgin rep try to get personal details such as bank details as I said I wanted virgin, but am still locked in my contract for another 6 months. He said he'd take my email and hold the quote until June and send an email to confirm.

      2 days later, I find a virgin box attached to a cable, attached to my property. 

      So fraud, creating an account without permission, criminal trespass, and criminal damage, for getting on my property and creating damage to the exterior wall by attaching an unauthorised external install. Plus, I've mental health issues, so lawyers will be going for that as well as that has caused a problem.

        Strong words there, so when and how does "Fraud" come into it then?

        Oh, and trespass is not a criminal offence,

    From what you have stated there is probably a case of fraud, but NOT fraud by VM, by a third party who has used your name to have the account set up. VM installed equipment that they believe you had requested. No criminal damage. If you want to take this any further your best course of action is to consult a solicitor.

    For both. Yes, there are 2 types of trespass. Civil, which is basically a person or persons on / in your private land / property. Criminal,  which is as civil, but where damage to said land or property is caused.

    As I have not agreed to, nor signed any consent, agreement or contract, this amounts to criminal as no-one had authority to gain access to my property and attach external equipment to my property. 

    With regards to fraud, these people work for and on behalf of virgin which I'm pretty sure holds virgin liable for not regulating their people.
